Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8G ED Lens USA Model. I bought this USA lens from Adorama when I switched to Nikon in 2011. Overall the lens is in Very Good Condition. Glass is very clean, Barrel has some wear. Rubber rings are good and snug. The zoom ring feels looser in the 35-60mm range, more snug on the ends. 1 There is damage to the front of the barrel on the filter threads. I show this in the last 2 lens photos. I do not ever remember dropping the camera or lens but I did something! I can still thread a filter on when I need to but it fits tight. 2 When the end of the lens barrel gets jarred like this the plastic gears on the zoom ring can get damaged. I do not feel the issue all the time. When I do it’s as if when turning the zoom ring the gears catch a bit. I’ve been using the lens this way without issue since I noticed the zoom ring catch over a year ago. About a month ago I shot a test chart with it when I was testing some other lenses. The lens still performs as it should. Sharp in the center and softer on all 4 corners pretty much equally. This lens is known for that “Look”. Includes Box, Front, & Rear Caps.
